THE COMMUNITY HOPE SCHOOL

Makonday village community, after ebola epidemic in 2014-2016, has put up, starting form an agricultural warehouse, a secondary school called “Community Hope School”. Being the facilities largely inadequate for the needs, CHC has decided to offer its help.

Interview with Charles Edward Tamba, Archbishop of Freetown

A delegation of Heldel Camara Centre met with Archbishop of Freetown in January 2020. We were on the eve of the outbreak of the Covid19 pandemic. But we couldn’t know it. He came to greet us with his best smile. Gathered around a table, we talked for a long time, asking him about the relations with Islam and the commitment to safeguarding Creation.

AN OVEN FOR THE SLUMS

The project has intended to promote production of bread, biscuits and soja based products in order to feed children in emergency situations, like at Kivuli Center, near Nairobi, in Kenya.

YOUNG CITIZENS OF ONE WORLD

Purpose of this project was to provide training and education, with different types of activities, to young people badly left outside any social community, following their experiences as baby soldiers, homeless or disbandoned.
